Surviving a 90 minutes Timeshare presentation.

This post is to help people get out of the Time share presentation without purchasing anything and of course with their promised gifts in the least time wasted. I will show you exactly what scripts to use and how to counter the arguments.

Here is the script that you need to follow:

You: Be nice and friendly with the sales person and show genuine interest in the product.

Sales person: He will pretend to be your best friend and explain how he will go out of the way and do everything possible to get you the best deal.

You: [Time to make your 1st and most important move.]
Explain to him that you are here to learn about the product and spread the word around to your friends and perhaps if they like it then they will buy the product. But it may not be a good fit for you.

Sales person: [He is kind of surprised that this is not a good fit for you.]
Oh so why do you think this product is not for you.

You: Because my company has this In-House-Vacation program in which every employee is entitled to $2000/year to spend in lodging anywhere in the world. And so if I buy this TimeShare then it will be in direct conflict with my already existing company benefit.

Sales person: [He has lost the battle, it will be a constant uphill battle for him from now on-wards]
So what happens if you change your job.

You: I enjoy the work I do and pretty much happy with my job and have been working for them for a long time. I do not see a reason to move now.

Sales person: But you can look at this Timeshare as a legacy for your kids. It will be a great gift that you leave behind for your kids.

You: Let me be honest with you, the room that you claim to be $500/night is actually only $40/night through groupon. This is a great price and your Timeshare cannot beat it. Also event though I gift my kids the Timeshare they still need to pay for the maintenance fee which itself is a big chunk of money every year.

I think this will pretty much convince the Sales person to let you go and as he can no way get a deal out of you.

Walkout of the Timeshare and enjoy your gifts.
